Hungary Rubs Its Hands

The current joy in Russia is easily matched in Hungary. Orban’s personal spokesman has been discussing the dismemberment of Ukraine, but eyebrows were raised when he not only ventured that the Zakarpattia area next to the Hungarian and Slovak borders will be officially Hungarian, but that “undefined” other areas of Ukraine will be also. I suspect as much as they are able to grab. In a successful effort to make mouths drop as well as eyebrows arched, the spokesman also mentioned parts of Serbia and Croatia in lands he determined would become Hungarian. Both countries have Hungarian-speaking minorties, as Slovakia, which Hungary is bizarrely very quiet about, because Fico, the prime minister of Slovakia sits on the same side of the fence as Orban: pro-genocide and therefore pro-Russia.

Hungary is openly now advocating a “Greater Hungary,” based around areas that used to be part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Clearly, if you want to see what Putin has on his mind, watch Hungary, cause what they are thinking about is eerily similar.
